Well it is a great morning at the Kennesaw Tesla showroom. It is 7:00 AM on Thursday March 31, 2016 and I am 23rd in line. I am here to reserve two Tesla Model 3 cars. When I pulled up at the showroom I was lucky enough to sit directly behind my old boss at MuRata Electronics. True Tran was also in line to reserve a Model 3 so we had three hours to catch up. True is a very smart man and you have to be on your toes to have a conversation with him. I respect True and value his judgement. If he is buying a Model 3 then that is a smart move.

Well it is 10:20 and I have just put down $3,000 for three Tesla Model 3's. I know I can only reserve two but as I was putting in my credit card the machine screwed up and I was able to reserve three.

I just received my Tesla photos in the mail and was so happy to have it come in. I checked the MyTeslamotors.com website and they have three model three's in my name. Update - I now have two model 3 reservations. I think they cleaned house and refunded my extra $1,000 reservation. Update again, yes we have a credit in our Amex account for $1,000.

My goal is to purchase one Model three and keep it. The other reserved Model 3 I am hoping to purchase and sell for exactly the same price I bought it for. I am hoping someone will allow me to keep the $7,500 fed tax credit and they can have the car for the exact purchase price.

Well it is June 2017 and I heard they will be selling the first Tesla Model 3's to Tesla owners that have put down a $1,000 for their reservation on or after July 2017. My guess, and this is only a guess, is they will sell to current Tesla owners and then once all those reservations have been filled will sell to people in California and then move east in order of reservation number.

Thanks for sharing article on selling Tesla Car. Looking for the Tesla cargo carrier, hitch rack and other X-Rack accessories of your model of car then, get these at the reasonable cost.

Mid-Atlantic Backroad Discovery Route MABDR

The BDR is a motorcycle route that goes from Damascus Virginia to the New York State border. Some of the travel is on two laneroads, while other is on Forest Service gravel roads. I started in Damascus which is a great little town the Appalachian trail goes through. You can see my bike on the right.  the Appalachian trail and the Mid-Atlantic BDR slowly meander back and forth through the country. I've met a couple guys that were hiking all the way non-stop.  This is a well photographed gap that is fun to go through.  Sceenic overlook that I turned around for.  This was taken off a dirt road. I stopped and took this photo and then a hiker appeared out of nowhere. She scared me pretty good.  First night camping. Hard to sleep when you don't have your favorite body pillow and covers.

Mount Rainier July 28, 2024

 Mount Rainier is an active volcano located in Washington. Wildflower meadows circle the icy volcano in July and August while ancient forests cover the lower slopes. We walked up the section that is called Paradise which is famous for its gorgeous views and wildflowers.  While we were in Paradise in July, the area is known for its winter activities. You will find people snowshoeing, cross country skiing and sledding.  We flew into Seattle and met Rob and Rebecca then headed on a drive to Mt. Rainier.  We did see the top of Rainier, but its low cloud cover was typical for the day. Rob, Rebecca (R2), Tam and Bob The walk was up hill for a while and this old guy was hurting the next day.  I have no information about the cabin located in the bottom of the beautiful valley.  The flowers looked like they were professionally grown.  The waterfalls were scattered all through the walk. So pretty and full of life.  We even saw some wildlife.
